COUNTY PARADE
We are registered for the Douglas County Fair Parade. There is a planned car for Jim (Dr. Calhoun), Student Government float, band, and a group of walkers (poms and cheers). More invitations to participate will be sent to staff closer to the date, but I wanted you to be aware as soon as possible
Date: Saturday, August 11 starting at 9:00 a.m. Lineup is at the south end of town, probably where we lined up last year. Plum Creek near Fairgrounds) It was very congested, so early arrival to line is advised. Also- DO NOT PARK IN APARTMENT COMPLEX. YOU WILL BE TOWED.
I would like to know if anyone has an idea for a float, so that we are not all walking the entire time, and have a place for keys/water/ect. Please let me know asap, so that we can request a spot if needed.

JV Cheer INFO Tuesday
For practice on Tuesday**
JV will NOT be having practice as Coach Addy can not make it.
HOWEVER -- Due to all the issues with the clothing/uniform orders please pick up your items at practice on Tuesday at 10:30, if you have not already done so. If you are missing any items, or needed a different size, this must be confirmed with Heather this Tuesday. Otherwise, I will assume your order is correct and you have a complete uniform. Thanks!

As many of you have seen from past blogs postings, the GTM order for items missing or to be replaced, had a few issues....
First box was to have arrived at my home by the Wednesday before camp. It went to Kona, HI. Still MIA. The next shippment was sent to CSU- and never arrived. I asked GTM to hold the order until I have finalized with everyone missing items. No sense in a 3rd shippment until I am 100%.

Dorms are at CSU campus, Durward. They are two towers, 12 stories each. To the SE of the towers is a sports building and rec center. The sports dome across the street from the dorms is where cheers will be. Poms are in the rec center.
The girls are exhausted and it has been alot of work! All in all a great learning camp for these girls and these teams aregoing to be better than I could have imagined.

Location: I have been told locations, but after googling CSU campus Map- I can't confirm a building names with what is on the maps for parents. Please arrive early to find your team.
Poms: Supposed to be in Rec center in Mac Gym (On map I see a student rec center and in a different location I see a McGraw Gym): Both within walking distance of each other.
Cheer: Supposed to be at indoor field house. (On map I see indoor practice facility, which is my best bet.)
Please text your camper tonight to see if they know where they will be in the morning.
Please google CSU campus map to familiarize yourself with the area. Parking will be difficult with many parents coming to see and pick up their campers.

It is Tues nights at 7:30 - 8:30 Turns /Jumps 5
The cost for the class is $65.00 mo .. There is a $30.00 reg fee for the year and Aug is pro rated by 50%

IMPORTANT!
There have been several issues with getting our camp clothes. I have stayed up and not slept for several nights to organize and sort. However, there were MANY pieces missing. Then, I was able to get GTM to next day replacements/missing pieces, and FED EX sent our package from Kansas to Hawaii. I have been dealing with this since 3pm today. It was suppose to be at my home by then. I had my mother stay at my home all day in oder to recv it. So, Fed Ex is calling me in the morning with an eta. It will be delivered to me at CSU. I know. I know. So, please tell your athlete that I will have pieces delivered to me, but I do not have a for sure time. I have been tracking it all day. At 6pm popped up Kona Hawaii. I nearly passed out. With this said, wow. Please simply ask your daughter to wear the next closest thing she has. I will hand out anything I have.
Lastly, uniforms and camp clothes were ordered within the week of when you paid. However, some credit cards had wrong numbers or did not go through. I worked with the various accounting departments to connect them to the right people. This delayed our orders. I had to keep on it and I had to call to make sure that these were done. It got to the point where I simply had to say that some girls would not get their items, please just get the order sent. I have used several companies over the years, and I am furious at this years delays and work I have had to put in for an order to get anything processed. My concerns and anger have been clearly heard by 2 of the 3 companies. For the record, Denver Athletics made their deadline and I had no drama.
So, I have spent countless hours on this. I do work, have a family, and try to get the job done. Did I mention there is no pay for coaches in the summer? I am frustrated for your kids and I more than understand any frutrations you may have regarding this. I am deligating, and there have been some awesome parents helping. However, please address concerns to me first, not the school. I would appreciate the upfront comments. When I make mistakes, I do own up to them and try to learn from them. Over half of the teams at camps do not have uniforms, unless they were from years past. Please have forms and payments in on time and much of this would be avoided. To those that did have everything in on time, thank you. Also, I am doing my best to find coaches. Meanwhile,I have not hesitated to do it all. I do not want to do it all.

Campers will be staying in Durward Hall off of Laurel St. near the North West corner of campus where Laurel Street and Shields Street intersect.
Campers will be eating in the dining hall @ Corbett Hall. (right next to Durward)

Sunday will be open for parents to watch teams be evaluated on the dances and cheers learned during camp. (Roughly 9-11AM)

Permission slips
Many of the forms turned in are missing the insurance information. During practice, I will have girls call a parent to get the Insurance number and name. (Policy number) you MUST have this or $5 for the camp provided insurance. I can not register a team without it. Please text it to your daughter so that I have it. Thank you!

What to wear...
Varsity levels have put together a schedule of what to wear each day. I believe that JV cheer knows as well.
BTW- I have emergency ordered pieces that were missing for camp clothes. If your athlete is missing a bag, warm-up jacket, or other not HAVE TO HAVE piece for Thursday, it may have not been ordered yet. Sorry-
The order is to be in on Wednesday sometime. It may be greeting you all at the tailgating or up at CSU. Because of the rushed shipment, the tank tops will NOT have writing on them. Expect to wash these and return them to coach after camp so we can get these printed.

- JV poms- your skirts came in today! Woo hoo! Day one: red razorback tank w/ black jazz pants. Day two: White keyhole tank w/ red skort. Day three: pink tank w/ black shorts. Last day, uniform skirt w/ a black tank. If you do not have one, please ask at Wednesday practice to borrow one. For those who do not have one, can not get one, please let me know. We will figure it out.
