VARSITY CHEER TUMBLING: AUG-DEC
Fridays from 330-430, Tumbling, $45/month/athlete, class beginning Friday, August 10 . $50/athlete registration fee.  (If reg fee was already pd for this current upcoming season or if not sure, please ask RME directly.)

Aug 14 Pep Assembly in am- WEAR uniforms entire day

Cheer schedules

Cheers practice scheduleMondays:  VC 3:15-5:15pm and MAYBE JV tumbling or on Thursdays-TBA
Tuesdays: JVC 3:15-5:15 and VC 5-7pm
Wednesdays: JVC 3:15-5:15 and V off day
Thursdays: VC 3:15-5:15pm
Fridays: VC at RME and JVC 3:15-5:15
Saturday: VC 9-11am and JVC 11-12:30pm
Sundays:  OFF

Competition season

JV levels do league and state this year. Varsity levels will compete at league, state, UCA/UDA Reg, and maybe one other. Other smaller company comps will be announced and decided upon as soon as possible. Varsity cheers- do not make plans for Thanksgiving break. We will have Wed-Friday off, but we will practice on Saturday of that week. Unless...the routine has been 100% and scoring at least 95% at comps. Over fall break, we will be practicing and have a football game.

October 13- Americheer/dance Reg at Chaparral HS in Parker- optional for v levels

Oct 27- UCA Reg in Pueblo- optional for v cheer

Nov 3- USA Reg in Broomfield- optional for v levels

Nov 7- cheer league at DCHS  cheers- v and jv

Nov 8- dance league at HRHS- poms- v and jv

Nov 10- NCA/NDA Reg at Chaparral HS in Parker

Nov 17- UCA/UDA Reg in Denver- v cheer and poms

Dec 1- JV "state" at Arvada West- jv cheer and pom

Dec 7- 5A Varsity state at Denver Coliseum- v cheer and pom

All levels are required to attend both league nights, varsity levels are required to attend jv state, and jv levels are required to attend v state ONLY if they will not have to miss school in order to attend.  (Varsity state starts at 9am and goes until 10pm)

MIssing GTM items

As most of you know, the GTM order had several items missing.  TWO shipments never made it to me, and I have been given notice of another order coming in any day.  I will let everyone know when it is in.
If you have an uniform issue, please let me know.  I am going to help the best I can.

Pom Coaches

We are sooo close to having coaching staff!  A varsity coach has been set and we are almost set on a JV coach!  We will give details and make announcements soon.  Just letting you all know, we are close!  Once coaches are set, we will sit as a coaching staff and work on our schedules.  It will be sent to the athletic department at CV, then published for you all.  SO, I appreciate your alls patience.  It has been a long search, but well worth it!!!!!

BOWLING CANCELLLED

SORRY ALL- Due to a lack in response, I have cancelled the bowling.  Next week- Jump Street!  Time/day TBA. 

More Summer fun!

Next advernture... bowling! 
I loved skating!  I am so happy that approx 40 girls and some friends came skating!!!  We had the place to our selves, learned how to fall... a lot, and had some laughs.

The next adventure is bowling!!!  Brunswick Zone in Park Meadows area Friday July 20 11am-1pm.  I can drive a few people, but I need a lot of notice!!!  $11.50 for 2 hours of bowling, pizza, and soda.  Please feel free to bring friends and family.  Should be a fun/funny time as well.  Best bowling score from an entire game wins a funny prize!!!  Parents- do not be shy, and come and play!!!

PLEASE RSVP BY 5PM ON MONDAY JULY 16TH.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE A YES OR NO AND HOW MANY ARE COMING WITH YOU!!!  Thank you- and I hope to see a lot of you crazy CVHS Spirit Team members there!!!!!

Important school stuff!!!

1.  Sports Physicals:
Please help Tom Bradley (our amazing trainer) with sending your athletes to our Sports Physicals.   This is one of the ways Tom raises monies to support his program. 
Sports physicals will be on August 3, 2012, 12:00pm-3:00 pm at Castle View High School.  Registration is online at http://dcsdk12.revtrak.net/tek9.asp?pg=CVHSregwerks.  Once payment has been made, they  will be able to select their time slots.  Registration online is preferred as walk-in options for August 3 will be limited. 
2.  2012-13 Fall Athletic Registration:
Athletic registration packets for Fall 2012-13 school year are available at www.sabercatsports.org, select registration.  The entire packet with payment needs to be completed before August 9th, so that your athletes can be cleared for practice on August 13th.  NEW this year, parents can pay online for their sports fees (beginning July 16th)and the funds go directly to your account.  Completed packets can be turned in beginning July 23rd.  Golfers will need to turn in paperwork earlier. 
3.  www.continentalleague.org (School Activity Scheduler)  Please look on here for all schedules.  Practices are not listed yet for poms or cheers.  Soon, as we are hiring poms coaches soon!!!  (We had a couple of interviews on Wednesday!!!)

Hello!  Please know that if I had you as a friend on my Facebook, I have unfriended you.  I only friend a few girls around prom to see some dresses on you amazing girls!  Otherwise, at CVHS, I have made it a policy to not friend any current athletes on any spirit teams. 
HOWEVER, GIRLS, GIRLS GIRLS- Please keep in mind what you say or show on Facebook can be copied and sent to me or the school.  DO NOT write or post anything that you do not want shared with everyone.  Please act as a role model.  NO pictures that you would not feel good about sharing with grandparents, school administration, a priest, and so on.  Please also watch what is said.  No swearing, sexual talk, or other non-girl next door behavior.  WHY???  Because you represent CVHS Spirit Team in a very public way.  Everyone knows who you all are.  Everyone creates an image about our group by your actions on such public sites like Facebook. 
Please please please do not make Facebook or other public mediums a problem!  Thank you for your understanding. 

Skate City is ON!

Thanks to Julie & Kelsey Cambier for poms and Cat Dietrick for cheers for helping to get the numbers for each group.  I had a couple of other people help too- thnx to you all as well!  See everyone at 3 if riding the bus or at 4 if meeting us there!  Alumni have also been invited- so introduce yourself to any new faces!
